Help me welcome our new second grade bilingual teacher!
Hi everyone! I’m Ms. Villalba, and I’m from Valencia, Spain. I recently moved to the United States, and I’m so excited to begin this new chapter of my life. I believe every new beginning is an opportunity to embrace a new culture, grow through new experiences, and appreciate the beauty of life with an open heart.
Teaching has always been my passion, and I feel incredibly grateful to do what I love. I also love singing, and above all, learning. I truly believe we never stop learning, and that every person we meet has something to teach us. I hope to share that joy of learning with my students and inspire them to be curious, kind, confident, and excited about discovering the world around them.
I can’t wait to build a classroom where every child feels valued, encouraged, and loved. Here’s to a year full of learning, laughter, creativity, and unforgettable memories! ... See MoreSee Less
Hello Anderson Elementary,
I am excited to join Anderson Elementary as a first-year teacher in the 3rd–6th grade ABLE class. After one experience in a Birdville ISD Special Education Life Skills classroom, I knew special education was where I wanted to teach. My passion for supporting diverse learners began early in my life. As the mother of three precious daughters, I experienced different learning journeys firsthand. My oldest was advanced and entered the gifted and talented program, while my younger two faced specific learning challenges. Those experiences shaped my deep commitment to helping students build new skills and grow in confidence.
A little about me: I am retired from American Airlines, where I developed a love for travel. I also have the privilege of teaching once a week at a women’s halfway house. I enjoy hosting theme parties, including an annual Christmas family costume party, with extra points for homemade costumes. I look forward to beginning this new teaching adventure in the upcoming school year and cannot wait to meet the team and students. ... See MoreSee Less

Hello, Gators! My name is Ms. Alvarez, and I am very excited to join the Anderson family this year as the librarian. I have been an educator for 13 years, eight of those in bilingual classrooms and the last five in the library. I truly believe that the perfect book for even the most reluctant reader is out there, they just need to find it— and I’m here to help with that! When I’m not in the library, I enjoy hiking, sewing, doing puzzles, and of course, reading a good book! ... See MoreSee Less
