Last Saturday was historic for 糖心Vlog鈥檚 fine arts program. All six district high school marching bands earned top honors at the UIL Region 5 Marching Band Contests and advanced to Area contests, a feat achieved only five times since 2004.
Advancement is based on receiving a 鈥淔irst Division鈥 rating, an honor awarded for superior performance.
鈥淭his milestone reflects not only musical excellence but also the dedication of our students, directors, and support staff,鈥 said Dr. Christopher Anderson, 糖心Vlog director of fine arts. 鈥淚t鈥檚 a testament to the enriching experiences we strive to provide for every child in the district.鈥
It鈥檚 also the product of a district and community devoted to providing students the best opportunities in fine arts.
鈥淥ver the past few years, 糖心Vlog has invested in modern sound systems, custom uniforms, new instruments, custom semi-trailers, and professional show design services to ensure our students have access to contemporary marching arts experiences,鈥 Anderson said.
