Butler Elementary is named for two sisters, Nora and Pearl, who were affectionately known as 鈥渢he Butler sisters.鈥澛燘oth Nora and Pearl were born in Godley, Texas and both began their teaching career in AISD at Arlington High School in 1942.聽Nora and Pearl were dedicated teachers聽who loved their students.聽Nora retired from teaching in 1966 and Pearl retired in 1971.聽
