The Infrastructure and Operations department is responsible for enterprise-wide systems and services for the district and includes the following units:

• Platform Infrastructure
• Physical Security Systems
• Unified Communications
• Cybersecurity
• Network Infrastructure
• Identity and Integration

The Platform Infrastructure department designs, maintains, and supports the foundational systems and services that enable the organization’s core business applications and digital operations. This includes on-premises and cloud-based environments as well as the district’s server and data center infrastructure.

Physical Security Systems protects the district’s people, property, and assets from real-world threats such as unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, workplace violence, and natural disasters. Their work forms the first line of defense against breaches that can compromise both physical and digital operations. The department oversees the district’s video surveillance system, access control and intrusion prevention, emergency communications response services, and campus emergency lockdown orchestration.

The Unified Communications department is responsible for the management and support of all communications services within the organization. This includes telephones, voice mail, the district’s Voice over IP (VoIP) system, enterprise fax services, Public Address (PA) systems, email communications, and video conferencing and collaboration services.

AISD Cybersecurity is responsible for protecting the organization’s digital assets, systems, and data from cyber threats, supporting core functions including threat analysis and response, training and awareness, policy and compliance, incident response and recovery, risk management, business continuity, and collaboration and communication.

The Network Infrastructure department is responsible for designing, maintaining, and support the organization’s digital backbone – the systems that connect people, devices, and applications across the enterprise. Their work ensures reliable, secure, and scalable communication and data flow throughout the organization.

Identity and Integration Services is responsible for managing digital identities, control access to organizational resources, and ensuring seamless integration between systems, applications, and platforms.
